Tuan Osman has extensive exposure in the field of security management. Through his dedicated 36 years of service as Assistant Commissioner of the Royal Malaysian Police, the former OCPD of Petaling Jaya has led multiple divisions in The Royal Malaysian Police including vice, gaming, public relations and national security. He has also dealt with surrendered communist terrorist elements in Selangor and other parts of Malaysia.
He led the Malaysian contingent to Bosnia in 1990 as the commander in charge. He was also part of the Special Branch in Bukit Aman for over 12 years, handling divisions such as public relations, internal security and public order management.
